I wanted to do something with my hands and see the results right away, not waiting for a long sales cycle. That’s why 5 years ago I decided to turn my jewelry making hobby into a business. It’s been an amazing journey creating something from scratch, learning new things, staying positive and meeting incredible people.
Art is a creative release for me. It allows me to share my own style and passions. For my family, art has been a reminder that in the darkest times, there is light. In the stressful times, there is peace. And in the times of fear, there is hope.
Owning a creative company has been something I have wanted to do for as long as I can remember. While other kids in middle school were joining clubs, and hanging with friends, I was taking craft classes at the local community centre and scrapbooking classes at the local paper supply store.
I do what I do because I love art, connecting and empowering women. I love to travel and have met some amazing artisan's along the way. Devi Arts Collective allows me to be a creative artisan myself, while collaborating with the talented artisans I work with that cut the gemstones for the jewellery I make and weave the fabric I use in my designs.
