Just a Girl Who Decided to Go For It!

People often look at me and wonder how I got here. It is the most asked question I get, like somehow I figured out some secret and ended up as an entrepreneur following my dream, rather than continuing on at the job that I worked at for 18 years. Really, there is no secret. And when I look back on the journey I've taken and how far I've come, it doesn't feel like anything actually happened that was that crazy, or extraordinary, or even that planned. Things just slowly evolved to take me to where I am today. With each decision I've made, I try to go in the direction of what makes me happy because what brings me joy, and what I am passionate about, is what I need to be doing. "I'm just a girl who decided to go for it." Giving Gifts fills me with love and there is nothing better, than the feeling of doing what you love. My friends often say that my eyes light up when I'm talking about my business and just the thought of it brings a smile to my face. I always feel like jumping for joy when a Giving Crate comes together perfectly. I can definitely be found beaming with pride (often)! It all looks easy and well planned, but really it is the hardest thing I have ever done and every day is one step forward, one step closer to living my dream.  

On those days, when things seem just awful, when everyone, and everything, seems to be conspiring against me to make me fail, when I feel like I just can't work any harder, or stay up any later, or face any more frustration, or on those days when balancing the kids and a business seem impossible, I just need to look at this quote and remember that "I am just a girl that decided to go for it." There really are no expectations. There really is nothing I need to prove or achieve. There really is no definition of success, other than my own. I just need to continue to do what makes me happy, and continue do it with lots of love. If I put my heart into everything I do and keep taking actions (many imperfect ones), everything else will fall into place, just like it has up until now.
