The Environment: Each 4-pack replaces 60+ rolls of paper towels. They are non-toxic and chlorine free and made of cotton and wood pulp with water-based colours and inks. They clean really well with just water. Skoy cloths are completely biodegradable. It breaks down in 5 weeks in the compost. Skoy was conceived by two women who wanted to make a superior cleaning cloth, with the added bonus of it being environmentally friendly. The Skoy factory has invested heavily in an integrated environmental recycling and disposal facility. Production by-products are purified and recycled as much as possible in the process, and regeneration baths are returned to production by an evaporation process. Wastewater is treated at the site’s biological wastewater purification plants.

Since SKOY is reusable and washable it can last a very long time. A normal life cycle of a SKOY cloth starts in the kitchen to wipe counter and table tops. After using the SKOY for a few weeks in the kitchen, it can do other indoor cleaning such as floors, bathrooms, etc. After a few months, the SKOY can then be used for outdoor messes, such as wiping patio furniture as well as for garage use.
