TITAN ARUM Wrap Skirt
$69.00 CAD
Junco Design Textiles feature original digital art created with Junco's own photography overlaid onto original hand carved block prints, which we print on paper and then scan for digital reproduction.
Amorphophallus titanum, also known as the titan arum, is a flowering plant with the largest unbranched inflorescence in the world. It can grow up to 10 ft tall! Native to the rainforests of Sumatra and Java, some specimens are kept in a handful of botanical gardens around the world.
JUNCO was fortunate to see one blooming in Vancouver, BC at Bloedel Conservatory in 2018 and snapped some photos. The natural ruffling of the leaves around the centre of the plant makes for the perfect ‘ruffle’ around this comfy wrap skirt.
Sizing: One size fits many. See image #3 for measurements.
You have options!
Your skirt can be more than just a skirt! (See image #4 for how to wrap as a skirt)
Wear it as a shawl or a beach cover up. Centre it on your shoulders and tie under your arms at the centre of your back and you’ve converted your skirt into a perfect shawl!
Why we LOVE JUNCO Design Textiles:
Local Artist: In Vancouver BC, JUNCO creates all their own textile designs using original photographs that they manipulate into beautiful, unique digital art for fashion. Each design is created with the garment in mind.
Eco Conscious & Made in Canada: They value local, sweat-shop free, eco-conscious manufacturing and all items are made in Canada by hand. Nothing is mass produced, and they use high quality materials that will last for years to come. All dyes used to produce their textiles are water based and solvent free.
