Artist Story - Stephanie of Mind the Minimal

What inspired the name of your business?
I chose the name Mind The Minimal because I  wanted to always remind myself of “less is more” and my goal is to create timeless decor.

What is the story behind why you started your business?
I started Mind The Minimal in 2016 after a sudden change in career. At that time, I thought to myself that if I wanted to start something of my own and mix it with my creative side. I took out a pen and paper and from drawings, to forming, I slowly refined the end product.

What is the dream that you wish to find through your business?
I wish to find steady balance in life and with my career. But my ultimate dream is to own a storefront/studio.

What are you most proud of about your business?
I’m proud of how far it has evolved in two years. I feel that it’s the best creative form for me to express myself.
How have you grown as a person as a result of your business?
I've grown to be more patient and happy with what I have.

What difference does your art make in your life, and your family’s life?
My art teaches me to strengthen myself. Like concrete itself, it’s always overseen but once moulded in shape, it strengthens over time.

 Mind the Minimal
If you could say one thing to the person that buys and/or enjoys your art, what would it be?
To love the art of simple beauty.
