Blessings

I've started giving everyone that walks into the store a blessing. It is usually a simple silent blessing (the non-religious type) that involves wishing them happiness in their day. I am not sure if the recipients of these blessings can feel them, but I certainly can. It has made me appreciate each and every person who takes time from all the other things they could be doing with their day and stops to come into the store. I know how busy people are so I am truly grateful to every single person who spends time meandering through the rooms, reading our artist stories, admiring the selection of gifts and laughing at the puns on our cards. I love seeing people's faces light up and smile wide as they find inspiration in the tiny details all around the store.

I am so thankful that every day I get to do what I love! "Today (and every day) is a gift and the only appropriate response is gratefulness." I truly am grateful. My smile is bigger, my eyes shine brighter and my heart and soul feel full. My work never feels like work and that is the most beautiful feeling to experience. It's the pure joy of doing what I truly love! 

If you'd like a blessing, just stop by the store and watch our smiles. From our hearts to yours we will share our gratitude and wish you happiness. As we are opening our hearts to the gifts all around us we'll share those gifts with you. I couple months ago I heard the line "let everyone you meet be blessed by you" and that is my goal for Giving Gifts, that every person leaves the store happier and more inspired than when they walked in.
