What inspired the name of your business?
Ummm...not too creative, the name of my business is my own name, heh heh.

What is the story behind why you started your business?
As a child I was surrounded by books from my Mum's childhood, the Golden Age of Illustration, the late 19th - early 20th century.  These books were full of beautifully rendered illustrations created in watercolour with bold line work that transported me to worlds full of fancy and a sense that everything was possible, that gravity had no bearing. Being from a family that embraces creativity in all forms, repressing the urge to abandon a life given over to the pursuit of creating art would have been rather like living half a life.

What is the dream that you wish to fund through your business?
The dream I'd most like to fund through my business is to encourage others to be brave on behalf of their own aspirations, as it would make for a richer and fuller existence for all if we allowed ourselves to live completely as the humans we're meant to be.

What are you most proud of about your business?
I'm most proud of the connections I've made through my art, and that those who connect with what I do find the light, healing, and inspiration in my work intentionally placed there.

How have you grown as a person as a result of your business?
The intense commitment of time, energy,  stumbles, and faith required to pursue my own path as an independent artist have gifted me with a sense of determination and confidence as well as business acumen that I would never have anticipated. I made mistakes and a lot of false starts, and through this process learned that the truest growth comes from working through the greatest barriers.

What difference does your art make in your life, and your family’s life?
My art makes me my best and happiest self, as it is not merely a commercial product but also a conduit through which I express myself as a person working out her beliefs, quandaries, and place in the world.

If you could say one thing to the person that buys and/or enjoys your art, what would it be?
Without your support both financially and the encouragement your choice provides I would not be able to do what I do, and that is a huge gift to receive.
