I make vintage-inspired baby accessories, and I wanted a name that evoked timeless elegance. Eiffel & Eyre refers to two of my favourite things: Paris and classic novels.
I love creating beautiful products and I feel so lucky to be able to work with plants, flowers and their essential oils. It brings joy and fulfillment to my soul.
My company name is derived from a sweet black cat named Brutus that I adopted after he'd spent his entire life living on the street. It is also a nod to myself, who as a teenager, lived for a brief time on the streets.
I started Mind The Minimal in 2016 after a sudden change in career. At that time, I thought to myself that if I wanted to start something of my own and mix it with my creative side. I chose the name Mind The Minimal because I wanted to always remind myself of “less is more” and my goal is to create timeless decor.
Running a business has really made me step outside my comfort zone and gain new life experiences and ways to enhance the way I run my business. The best way to learn is via trial and error. You never know until you try!
Nana+Livy Handmade Bath Treats was named after my two daughters Natalia and Olivianne. They are the sole reasons why I started and continued my business.
The name “Scandinazn” comes from my mixed Japanese & Swedish heritage. It’s pronounced “scandin-asian”. A draw on inspiration from the bold shapes and colours of Scandinavian design and the subtle intricacies of Japanese design.
When I decided to pursue fancypop full-time, everyone around me was a bit doubtful, and of course I had a lot of worries too. I've quit many classes and jobs in my lifetime, and fancypop is the one thing that I've never stopped working at, so even though the worrying never stops, I'm proud that I'm still doing it.
My journey into natural products, and a fascination with how our skin works, started due to my own battle with chronic eczema in my late teens and early 20s. A swap to natural, plant based skincare was a major factor in healing my skin.
